Aqualine Activated carbon filters are used to remove unwanted chlorine, color, taste, odorous dissolved gases, residues and organic matter from water. Activated carbon is a charcoal-like material with a very high surface area (1000-1500 m2/g).

In Activated Carbon Systems, in addition to the filtration mechanism, the absorption mechanism also operates during water purification. For this reason, Activated Carbon Filters are physical-chemical cleaning systems.

Activated Carbon Filters work fully automatically without the need for human intervention. 15-20 minutes a day, the Activated Carbon Filter, which performs automatic backwashing, renews itself in this way.

Another thing to be aware of with activated carbon is that the mineral deposit can create a suitable environment for bacterial growth. Because activated carbon collects organic matter in its body, and if bacteria are present in the water, the bacteria can multiply by using these organic matter as food. 

In such cases, bacterial leakage is possible. For this reason, it is important to disinfect the water before and after activated carbon.
