"Drinking book" for poor countries
Many third world countries still suffer from a shortage of clean drinking water. To solve this problem, scientists of American universities have developed an original water purification system called Drinkable Book.
In this system, one of every 20 pages of the book acts as a filter. This filter traps various infectious diseases such as measles or cholera. The filter contains silver microparticles of 1-100 nm in size, which kill 99.9% of harmful bacteria.
Unlike regular books, the pages of this book are meant to be torn out. The torn page is also placed in a special container containing the book's packaging, and the water flows through the paper and filters into the container.
It is also possible to read a drinking book, given that it is a book. Every page of the book contains interesting and useful information about disease-causing bacteria, water and the need for water filtration. Because very few people know about the dangers of using untreated water in third world countries.
