Biofilm is usually a layer consisting of various microorganisms that have come together. These microorganisms are attached to each other and at the same time to a single substrate or are completely or partially combined into an organic material of a polymeric nature created by the organisms. This gel-like biofilm maintains ideal growth conditions for microorganisms and provides the most reliable protection to bacteria. In public/commercial buildings, there are many sources where Legionella bacteria can find an opportunity to spread. Hot water systems, cold water systems, cooling towers, spas and water fountains are some of the potential risk sources.


Legionella is largely unknown to society today. In our country, this is generally thought to be pneumonia, and unfortunately, many people die because of this.
